WisherWood Knitting and Crochet Class List

April & May 2012

Pre-registration required for all classes – minimum class size: 2.

Tunisian Crochet:

Learn the basics of Tunisian Crochet. The project will be a Fisherman's Cap.
Dates: Saturday, April 10th from 10am – Noon Thursday, May 13th 4-6pm.
Cost: $25.00 (includes materials).
Limit: 5 Skills Required: Basic Crochet.

Learn to Knit:

Learn to cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch and cast off. This class will teach you the basic skills that are necessary for any basic knitting pattern. Start your knitting adventure!
Dates: Thursday, April 8th & 15th from 4-5:30pm and Saturday, May 8th & 15th from 10-11:30am.
Cost: $25.00 (does not include materials).
Limit: 5
Materials*: Needles size 8-10, approximately 100 yds yarn (any type).
Skills Required: None.

Entrelac Knitting:

This surprisingly simple technique creates a textured fabric that looks like strips woven through each other. (The word “entrelac” actually comes from the French word for interwoven). You’ll leave class with a beautiful bookmark and the skills you need to tackle larger projects.
Date: April 17th, 10am-1pm Cost: $25.00 (does not include materials).
Limit: 5 Materials*: Worsted weight yarn in two colors, needles of corresponding size.
Skill Level: Intermediate, picking up stitches, Familiarity with short rows a plus.

Magic Socks:

Learn to knit two socks at one time on a long circular needle. You'll get two socks that are identical to each other and finish them both at once. It's easier than you'd think and has all kinds of advantages!
Dates: May 8th & 15th, 1-3pm Cost: $25.00 (does not include materials).
Limit: 5
Materials*: Sock yarn in an amount to complete 1 pair, size 0-2 circular needle 40” – 47”.
Skill level: Intermediate, need to have knit socks before.
